We aim to help young people in pivotal points in their lives such as going to university or job-seeking. We can provide free Presentation Skills training either here at the Museum or at your own venue. Presentation skills are vital at interviews and in the workplace and are a great way to build confidence.
Our practical 2-step course will arm you with the tools you need to excel in what can seem a very daunting task.
Session 1: We explore the situations in which presentation skills are used, the different styles of presentation, how to prepare, how to manage the audiences and techniques to remain calm and focused.
Session 2: Participants make a short presentation to the group. An excellent way to practice and gain confidence in a small supportive group where constructive criticism helps to refine skills and techniques.
Participants will receive handouts containing practical tips and hints on how to prepare and deliver presentations and where to go for further assistance
Cost: Sessions are free
Duration: Session 1: 1 hour - Session 2: up to 1.5 hours
Group Size: Session 1: up to 12 participants - Session 2: 4 – 6 participants
