The British Schools Museum is temporarily closed
But we're creating news ways for you to explore and take part!
The health and wellbeing of our staff, volunteers, visitors and the wider community is extremely important to us. As such from 18 March, the British Schools Museum will be closed until further notice.
All pre-booked ticket holders for our events and activities will be contacted individually to assure you that your tickets will be transferrable. All events will be resheduled.
Our current exhibition ‘Hertfordshire’s Inspired Writers: Dreamers, Radicals and Satirists’ will be extended until December 2020. In the meantime we are creating ways to explore the collections and learning resources online, and we look forward to sharing these with you soon.
We are increasing the number of at-home volunteering opportunities, if you would like to take part please join us by emailing mark.copley@britishschoolsmuseum.org.uk. For further info click here.
Whilst our doors are closed, we will keep you updated with the latest news here at the Museum via social media, website and e-newsletters.
Although the next few months ahead are likely to be difficult for all, we want to assure you that we are here to help our communities where we can. We are aware that mental health and wellbeing will be a focus for many and we shall strive to positively and proactively contribute in this area, not just to our known supporters and volunteers, but also to the wider communities.
We wish you the best of health at this time, please stay safe and look out for those around you and we shall open wide our doors to welcome you again at the soonest, safe opportunity to do so.
Keep in touch!
