The Museum's Education Programme has been approved for the Learning Outside the Classroom Quality Badge.
We are thrilled to have been awarded with the only nationally recognised indicator of good quality educational provision and risk management. The LOtC Quality Badge is an accreditation scheme that assesses providers of educational enrichment visits to ensure they meet schools learning and safety needs. This award helps schools identify good quality and genuinely beneficial services to support the curriculum, whilst being assured that the venue meets the required standards of safety.
Our popular school visit programmes welcome children from all over the county, and further afield. The children come for a fun and interactive day of role play, hands on investigation and immersive learning, which provides a valuable support to the delivery of topics such as The Victorians, toys then and now, how people lived in the past and even WWII.
