Dear Fellow Quiz enthusiasts,
Happy New Year to you all and a big thank you for taking part in my annual quiz to raise much needed funds for the British Schools Museum. The final money count for this year was £484.
First of all I have to apologise for a couple of errors on my part. Yes, there were two Newcastle answers (unintentional) and Cork isn’t in the UK – I never said I was good at geography!! So sorry for the confusion and I hope it didn’t spoil your enjoyment of the quiz.
As ever, I am intrigued at how far my quiz travels with entries this year returned from Cornwall, Devon Bridge of Weir Scotland, Preston Lancashire, Suffolk, Cheshire, Kent, Southampton, Whitstable and Portsmouth. This year though it has gone global with a quiz paper returned from Canada and another sent back from New Zealand!! Thank you Anne and Hilary.
One hundred and four papers were returned with six people achieving 100% correct answers. These included Ann Phillips, Julia Winder, Catherine Thomson, Mark Phillips and Margaret Arnold, however, the overall winner picked out of the hat was RICHARD TYLER from Ely.
Congratulations Richard.
So many people have said how much they look forward and enjoy the quiz each year and that makes all the challenging work worthwhile. Thank you, everyone, once again for contributing to this annual fundraiser for The British Schools Museum. I am pleased that you enjoy taking part and hope to hear from you all again next year.
Thank you for your support.
