The Friends of the British Schools Museum is a registered charity (No. 1016659) established in 1992 as the fundraising arm of the Museum. To date, The Friends have raised over £250,000, helping to ensure the Museum and its collections are preserved and developed.
The Friends run a wide-range of fundraising events, including Quiz Nights, Concerts, Talks, Lunches, Suppers and Afternoon Teas (the Friends have a well-deserved reputation for the quality of their cakes and catering).
There are currently over 350 Friends and we are always delighted to welcome new members.
Annual membership is only:
- £10 for an individual
- £17 for two adults living at the same address, and
- £15 for a school or company
Membership includes regular updates on the activities at the Museum, including the School Report magazine published three times a year.
As one of the Benefits of being a Friend, you can visit on non-event standard opening days for free, as long as you bring a guest or guests with you. If you wish to visit, please let us know via this link, so we know to expect you!
