Quartetto Familia was formed 8 years ago and is made up of siblings; Nicholas Ward violin and Harriet Bennett cello and husband and wife; Rebecca Scott-Smissen violin and Robert Smissen viola.
They share a passion for string quartet playing and give regular performances for Music In Felixstowe and other concert societies. Nicholas is well-known as the leader of the Northern Chamber Orchestra and previously of the City of London Sinfonia. Rebecca freelances with the Academy of St Martins in the Fields and other London orchestras and Robert is principal viola in the Academy of St Martins as well as being a very busy freelance musician. Harriet also freelances and runs the Music in Felixstowe concert series.
Lockdown has presented new challenges and the quartet has performed online several times over the past year.
