Our Play Cafe is open every day and is open to everyone, regardless of whether you are visiting the museum:
Enjoy a fresh coffee or cup of our wide range of teas, a homemade cake (with gluten free options) or freshly-made sandwich in our historic school building, while your little one plays in our play area. In summer enjoy our lovely outside play area to make the most out of!
The play area is free with a museum ticket or costs £3 per child without.
If you are looking for a unique and welcoming space to host your children's party, please do get in touch!
For babies' and children's birthday parties, our Play Café can host a catered or un-catered party with optional outdoor area or indoor bouncy castle.

We hold clubs for your babies and pre-schoolers every day.
All clubs start at 10.45/11am (depending on prompt arrivals) and lasting 30 minutes.

What's OnWe are now taking bookings for weekend Cream Teas.
If you are looking for something a bit special, where the very youngest members of your family are welcome to join in, join us for a delicious Cream Tea of sandwiches, scones, cakes, crisps & crudité, with a free play session in our Play Café for younger children included.
Bookings must be made in advance (preceding Thursday at the latest). Talk to us about gluten free, vegan, allergies, and any other dietary needs.
