Helping you with your visit.

• Mobility

  The majority of the museum is wheelchair accessible.

  However due to their historic nature the Headmaster's House and Gallery Classroom are not.

  We can offer video tours of the Headmaster's House, and written information on both.

  The museum has a fully accessible toilet.

• Visually Impaired

  We are currently in the process of updating our large print of text panels and exhibition descriptions. We ask for your patience whilst this is completed.

  The museum is kept well-lit throughout, and staff and volunteers are available to help or accompany you during all public opening hours.

• Learning Difficulties

  We welcome visits from those with learning difficulties, and provide sensory learning where possible - such as object handling.

  All of our staff and volunteers are able to help and give extra attention if required.

  If you have specific needs, please contact us in advance of your visit so we can best accommodate you.

  We are also a recognised 'Dementia Friends' museum.

• Buggy parking

  We have space for leaving your buggy, either in the cloakroom on the lower site, or in the porch at the top of the site. We will gladly show you where on arrival and assist you where possible.

  Although staff and volunteers are present at all times, please note that we do not accept liability for buggies left unattended.

• Baby Changing

  The museum has a large accessible toilet, within which there are also baby-change facilities.

  There are also facilities in the toilets at the top site.

• Foreign Languages

  We do not want a language barrier to impede your visit, and we will try to accommodate wherever possible.We are currently in the process of updating our written guide into other languages.
