Playing is a great way for informal learning to occur while children grow up. The museum has many board games, toys, outdoor games as well as books and items relating to hobbies and pastimes.
The history behind many of these is fascinating - for example the moral origins of snakes and ladders, or the 16th century origins of the cup and ball game.
