It's not all about formal school education, though. Children socialised in the local town, joining club and societies, swimming in the new pools, playing indoor and out-of-doors. These are represented in the museum's collection. Social gatherings of adults, such as women using their needlecraft skills developed in school to create quilts, are found in the collection.
